[resolved] Anyone else get android image chopped off?

Post by ntcntc »

As seen in attachment (if I do it right)? This is a Samsung Galaxy GIO android. Here is a screen cap from the phone. The bottom of the keypad is chopped off, which I guess is ok if I never dial a phone number containing 7, 8, 9 or 0. :-{

You won't be able to end the call, you are missing that button also ;)

I have that on my DesireHD, but a re-boot fixed it. I will add that it was all OK, then the next time I looked it looked similar to your image. After a reboot it all displayed correctly again.

Sorry I can't help fix you problem, apart from suggesting to restart the phone, but I can confirm that I have had my DellVoice app go like that.

I have a similar result but with 7, 8, 9 showing on my Le Pan II. Using the fill screen button several times eventually displays a dial pad that can be used and works OK but I cannot find a way of fixing that dialpad. Other than that everything works OK and incoming calls are just about perfect. If the outgoing dialpad can be fixed then this Android app. is much better than the FPL MS Windows client. No, why not a Linux a client?

Further follow-up - have you installed the update which was released in the Android marketplace last night?

Yes. But after Exiting and restarting the app everything went back to normal. BTW I saw the same thing on the Preferences menu. The type face used for the various options increased substantially so that some were truncated off the bottom of the screen and the screen wouldn't scroll verically.

That appears to be the version I am running (1.7.3) and it has the problems. The registration (number versus button) is incorrect on the voicemail page.

Are you certian it is 1.7.3? I've just re-downloaded it and it appears to be 1.2.3.

This happened to me once when I first installed it, however after going into application preferences and clearing the data + rebooting my phone it's been fine.

As update. Last nights update seems to have fixed the problem (at least) on my Samsung GIO. So thanks very much for that. So far, so good. Also I see the text font size within the setting menu has indeed been greatly reduced, which means it actually fits. The service is great. ntc

I made a typo I guess ... 1.2.3 it is.
I have now reinstalled it but it is the same.

I have similar issue.

I have an android 2.1 phone Huawei U8100 and the screen button are not calibrated using the dell voice.
You press back and 9 gets pressed, in other words all of bottom buttons are not working.
All other app are working and calibrated.

I tried Customer service and was told reinstall. Which had no effect.

Any input would be appreciated.

I am having this issue now with the newest version (1.3.1.) of the Android App on my cell. I cleared the data and rebooted my phone and the app still chopped off so that I can't see most of the dialpad. Any fixes for this issue with the 1.3.1. version?

I would suggest opening a new thread, as this is for a separate issue (on a different version).

Please include the make and model of your phone and the OS that you are using.
