Unfortunately this is a limitation put in place by Apple themselves regarding the policy of how accounts created on an iOS device can be used elsewhere.

So if we have more than one device, can we delete our DV account, and re-create a new one using the PC app? Then after that, installed the DV app on an iPhone and just use the login in button?

Does that change the functionality at all on the iPhone and is it possible to do this? I guess we will lose our DV phone # if we do this?

unfortunatly, even ifyou were to re-create an account, it would not be cross OS compatible for the same reasons.

So just to confirm, if you create your Dell Voice account on a PC or Android phone, you will never be able to install the iOS app and log into the same DV account on an iOS device? That seems a little crazy.

So what happens if I ever decide to upgrade to an Android phone and ditch my iPhone? Would I be able to setup a new DV account, then have the # ported over to my new DV account and delete the old DV account so I could start using DV on an Android device?

I thought it was confirmed by others that it works. Meaning, if you create a DV account on PC, you can use it on i-products.

That is incorrect. If you register on an apple device, it will only work on apple devices.
if you register through android or PC, it will only work on android or PC.

You contradicted yourself from this post

http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=4132

Where you said
"If the account is signed up using an apple device, they will be limited to using apple products. If you sign it up from Android or PC, you will be able to use it on both."

and the post above you confirmed he registered first on PC and is now able to use it on ipad 2, on PC and on an android phone.

So are we to take you new stance that it is no longer allowed, ie Dell Voice has shut the doors? I'm confused with the different answers. I'd check it out myself if my girlfriend was here as she has an ipad 2.

I just tried this myself. If you create an account using the PC application, you can then go to the Dell Voice iOS app, and log in with the same account and it works just fine.

So everyone should create their accounts using the PC or Android app to make sure they don't limit themselves in the future...

djc,

If you sign up on Android or PC, the account can be used on both Androids and PC. It is the Apple sign ups that can not be used with the others. Sorry if it was not clear.

I understand that if signed up on either android/pc then it can be used on android/pc, but I was referring to you saying in the above quote that you said it will only work with android/pc, meaning it wouldn't work on apple devices.

I was just pointing out that others have said if you signed up on android/pc, then it would work on android/pc and apple devices. I personally don't have apple devices but my gf does so this would be good to confirm, which it has been confirmed by a few people.

So in short, register through android or PC as this would be the best option in being able to use it on any android/pc/apple devices.

Thanks again for all the help and support. I believe Dell Voice can be very useful.
