I am running ICS Android 4.0.3 on my Samsung Galaxy S2 and under call settings I have the option to set up SIP account and use internet calling.
If I purchase the SIP unlock then fongo will give me all the required information to set up the SIP account so I can make free calls using VOIP instead of my cell phone plan minutes using the stock dialer application that Android comes with so I do not have to use the dell voice app which has too many bugs for me.
Has anyone else done this yet with success?
Does caller ID work properly?
Voice-mail notifications?
Is it a waist of $50?
Bluetooth working?
I would like to cancel my voice plan with Rogers completely and switch all voice calls to voip with fongo.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

It works fine for me on a wifi connection. I have not really tested it on a 3g connection.
I send the voicemail messages to email, so I don't know about notifications.
It wasn't a waste for me. It makes things much more flexible if you are into using VOIP.
I just tested BT. I could get voice over it no problem, but the button on the side would not pick up the call.
Some of the things you asked are probably hardware dependent, also I'm not sure I would rely on this as my only way of calling. I don't think VOIP over 3G is quite there yet, but that could just be the crappy town I live in.

Re: using SIP on Android stock dialer
I haven't tried using the built-in Android SIP app, but using the regular Dell Voice client on 3G was working fine for me. The quality is fine, no problems.
