It was bad enough originally, when the MWI and VMWI were activating after 10 minutes of someone leaving a message or deactivating after 10 minutes of deleting the message but, I suppose, I could have lived with that.
But the 10 minutes became then 20, 40, 60 minutes. Now, the MWI (stutter tone) and VMWI (light on the phone) do not come on at all any longer. Come on FPL/Fongo, what is going on? Your otherwise service is excellent, why not make it perfect?
There should be no delay for when the MWI and VMWI go on and off.
In any case, this is an important feature as now I get no indication if there are new messages on my phone. Could someone from FPL/Fongo explain what is going on and when will this problem be finally fixed? Thank you.
What is happening with the MWI and VMWI? They're not working

I confirm that. I have the same problem. I call two times for that problem. First time they tell me to disconnect the adapter and wait 15min and everything will be correct but the problem stay. The second time the tell me to do a reset and reconfigurate the adapter and if the problem stay they could not do more because i didn't buy they adapter, i have a Linksys PAP2T.

Re: What is happening with the MWI and VMWI? They're not wor
It's not true: it is not the adapter. The MWI and VMWI work but with HUGE delays. The indicators (stuttering dial tone and visual light) finally turned on for my two VoIP landlines after more than 24 hours (more likely 36 hours +/-). On my Dell Voice account it turned on after 10 hours. It will certainly take the same amount of time for the indicators to go off after I listen to the messages.
This is completely unacceptable!!!
I hope someone from FPL will address this issue and provide a response here. This is the Customer Support forum and they should be here to provide help. This is an important issue that needs to be resolved as soon as possible.

well my problem is similar but not exactly the same, for me the shutter tone is always on. Messages, No Messages, doesn't matter, i never know if i have a new message or not. It defeats the purpose of having the feature.
I wonder if FPL has some type of counter/flag that they can reset on their end that might clear the signal for the shutter tone?

We are currently investigating what may be causing MWI to not function on certain accounts - I'll be sure to update this thread once I hear more.

Steve, have you got any updates for us? It still takes 4-6 hours for the MWI to activate or deactivate. This is a major issue - I've already missed a few important and urgent voice mail messages because of that.FONGO_steve wrote:We are currently investigating what may be causing MWI to not function on certain accounts - I'll be sure to update this thread once I hear more.
Please let us know what is going on and fix a problem for a service otherwise stellar. Thanks.

Although I don't have a timeline for release I know that our team has been working pretty hard on MWI lately. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to know anything further than that right now, but I will definitely post an update once I hear something more firm.

Thanks, Steve. I really hope that this problem is resolved soon, as it is pretty disturbing. Just to clarify: I have this issue on all my lines: two FPL landlines and one DV mobile application on my iPhone.FONGO_steve wrote:Although I don't have a timeline for release I know that our team has been working pretty hard on MWI lately.
