First name in LOA

Post by JimmyNeutron »

LOA requires the first name EXACTLY as in the phone bill. However, in my Bell phone bill, they just print the initial of my first name. So my other question is do I just enter one character (ie the initial) in the LOA ??? Thanks

Hi Jimmy,

That is correct. if on your phone bill it only shows an initial, you will want ot write it the same way.

As Mike replied -- EXACT ... down to punctuation --- if your phoneco has a PERIOD after that intial, make sure that period is there on the LOA!

The phoneco's can be VERY VERY VERY picky about this ....

Same goes for the FORMAT of the address .... #9-12125 86th Ave is NOT the same as 9-12125-86 Avenue, NOR 12125 86th Ave, Unit 9 etc ... right down to the "th" after the 86th, or even Ave vs Avenue .... picky PICKY _PICKY_.

Note that AFTER the successful port, you CAN then contact Fongo/FPL to get them to change the initial to your full name if you wish, or make whatever other corrections you need to make!

You are able to logg into your account at any time, and change your address information without calling an agent.

I am aware of the address change option, but I was unsure if you could actually change the NAME of the registered account there also ... I have not tried that yet, as I did sign up with my full name ... :-)
