Register from two devices at the same time
Is it possible to register and use dell voice from two different devices (iPhone and iPad) with the same account?

The short answer is no.Zadigre wrote:Is it possible to register and use dell voice from two different devices (iPhone and iPad) with the same account?
The long answer is yes it is possible, but you have to use 3rd party software and/or services. The basic idea is you can buy the config file then register the account with someone like pbxes.org or make yourself a PBX at home. Then you can install a softphone on your ipad and iphone and register them to pbxes.
There is a lot more to it than just throwing things together and getting it to work, it just depends on how much you need to register the account on two devices. The short answer might be what you are looking for though. You can't connect two devices directly to Fongo/DellVoice. You can only connect one at a time if you want the service to work properly.

I don't really need to use both devices at the same time... I just wanted to know if is possible...
If I switch device, should I logout from the first device before using the second ?

Re: Register from two devices at the same time
That will be your best bet. If you don't log out then of the first device when logged in with the second, the first device will try and re-register at some point. Then the second device will try and re-register because it has lost registration. In the end you won't know which device will have registration at any one time and things will just get confused.Zadigre wrote: If I switch device, should I logout from the first device before using the second ?
It's a shame they won't allow us to register two devices at once, but that is how it is.

Yes, and then this is ENTIRELY possible, without any problem whatsoever. That being said, it may take a few minutes even after logging out correctly from one platform, before you can successfully log in with another -- the FPL/DV servers seem to LAG a tad and can get a bit confused if you try to log out-log in in too short a time with different devices!Zadigre wrote:I don't really need to use both devices at the same time...
