Forum Error.

Post by Jake »

I'm getting a header error on the forum. Looking at the error
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://295.ca//adm/ajaxam.js" ></script><b>[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice</b>: in file <b>/includes/functions.php</b> on line <b>4505</b>: <b>Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/hooks/index.php:252)</b><br />
<b>[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice</b>: in file <b>/includes/functions.php</b> on line <b>4507</b>: <b>Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/hooks/index.php:252)</b><br />
<b>[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice</b>: in file <b>/includes/functions.php</b> on line <b>4508</b>: <b>Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/hooks/index.php:252)</b><br />
<b>[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice</b>: in file <b>/includes/functions.php</b> on line <b>4509</b>: <b>Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/hooks/index.php:252)</b><br />
it looks like it has something to do with http://295.ca//adm/ajaxam.js which is 404'ing and probably causing the header error.

Looks like it has got low on memory and can't write its temporary files properly.
It sort of works :) with the Opera browser.

For me the pages are stopping in FF but do 'sort of' work in Chrome, but with the above error.

That usually means there is an error and outputting something to the browser before bits of PHP that set things in the header (cookies and such) get to run.

I did a quick Google and that file name and that error came up a lot with hacked servers. I hope this isn't the case and just something silly like someone renamed or deleted that file on the 295.ca server.
It obviously needs to be fixed as it is messing up the board!

And as if by magic it's all back to normal.

Now I can't see the ajaxam.js file in the code, so either someone put it there by accident (or purpose  ) or the file used to be there but got deleted from 295.ca.

Good job guys! it's good to be back to normal :D

Yes thank you Steve!

I hope they didn't just delete that include line if they didn't put it there. Otherwise we could find it back there in a few days.

Thanks Steve --- was almost "jones-ing" due to forum-withdrawal since Saturday afternoon ... lol.

Hopefully it was just a small error on the fpl/fongo side and not a HACK attack of some sort??

Are you able to share what caused the issue?

And for trouble shooting purposes, I was unable to get in with FF, Chrome nor IE. The main page sort of loaded, but in a LOGGED OUT state, and any subsequent page just had errors with no page load whatsoever.

Not a hack or anything security related :)
A couple updates/modifications were done on the forum system last week and one of them caused an error to creep up after we had left the office for the day on Friday.

I guess the forum and server platforms KNOW when you guys are off the clock and leaving it unattended! Two weekends in a row that something breaks over the weekend! LOL

Will the Fongo change it's internal calendars to remove days that start with "S" for the next weekend?
