Call not connecting

Post by ap236 »

I'm trying to call the Kobo Help Desk at 1-855-732-3662 and I'm getting a message that the call cannot be connected as dialed.

You can try calling again without the initial 1. But I just tried and got an error message when I tried through FPL and another VOIP service.

I tried it without the 1 before posting here, and no dice.

Is this number dialable from a regular Bell/Telus/Rogers LANDLINE? Could it be an area-restricted number? Odd. Maybe forward this one to Steve via PM for further investigation at the "Rates & Routing" level.

It may also be that the 800-number provider may be buggered up somehow in translating and forwarding ... but that assumes that it is NOT dialable from a landline... I cannot verify this issue at the time, as I am only running on VOIP.

"We're sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again - 348"

That's the error message I get when I call from my Vancouver-BC-based FPL #.

By the fact that I am getting an OUTSIDE recording saying it failed, it seems to me that FPL is passing the call outward correctly, but where-ever it is being handled at is NOT completing it correctly.

I suspect this is a toll-free provider problem at the KOBO end of things.

I was able to dial it fine on my Virigin Mobile cell phone. And I think I dialed it in a regular landline previously ok.

Which city/exchange is the Vir-Mobile # based out of compared to where your FPL # is based out of?

As I posted earlier, it seems that how the 855-# provider is handling the incoming call seems to be the problem. I am not sure, from the Fongo-side of things, how the number is presenting to the 855-carrier.
