Hi all,
I have set 2 numbers in the FollowMe setting, and set the first number to "3 rings" as per the note "rings before the call goes to the next number or voicemail".
But every time people call my FPL number, the call only goes to my 1st number and lasts many rings but never reaches the 2nd number.
Is there any way to make the call forwarded to the 2 numbers in order as what I wish?
Have 2 # in FollowMe setting but the 2nd # never rings

Jay -- I have a double-forward set up and it is working AS ADVERTISED for me. Granted that they are two cell #'s, and sometimes the mobile network swallows a few of the rings that I have set, but it is working for me.j8van wrote:Hi all,

Can I be so bold as to suggest DELETING your forwards (so none exist) and then adding them back in and seeing if _THAT_ may fix your problem? Further to that, delete them BOTH, then add back in the 2nd one (that you say never rings) FIRST, then add the PRIMARY that you want, THEN switch the priority.
See if that "unclogs the pipes" --- remember that sometimes FPL servers go brain-dead and don't properly "save" changes that we make -- as evidenced in some previous posts re: changing acct info.
May not do the trick, but a relatively simple and QUICK way to giver a test and see if that is all it is!

Re: Have 2 # in FollowMe setting but the 2nd # never rings
Thanks TheHardy,
The problem is likely solved by following your tricks ...
I found the wierd part is, that any number list is workable except for those a FPL number on the first row... I have set my cell # as 1st number for 3 rings, then the call "chain" works well, but when I set a FPL # as 1st number for whatever rings, the call keeps ringing that 1st number till it's terminated and never goes to the 2nd number on the list.
Is this a system "bug", or "rule"?

Odd ... so it is fixed, or not?
Are you fwding one FPL to another FPL and then your cell? Is that what you are trying to do? Or am I lost somewhere? Is the 2nd FPL forwarding too, or? Cuz that could be an issue. Maybe I have confused myself by reading your post too deep ... lol
Sorry to make you spell it out ... hehehe
As I say, I had an issue, did my little thingy, and for WHATEVER reason, it worked. Not a rule, just a "weird" ...

Re: Have 2 # in FollowMe setting but the 2nd # never rings
Sorry for my wording...
Yes I am forwarding one FPL to another FPL and then my cell, but my cell never rings, however if the call is forwarded to my cell then my another FPL, it works!
For an instance, if you set your wife's FPL# and your (non-FPL) home phone # in your OWN FPL account's FollowMe settings, and you assume your wife's FPL# only rings 3 times then your home phone rings -- this is not gonna work, wherever there is a FPL# in your FollowMe settings, the "ring chain" would just stop there and never reach the rest number(s).

Re: Have 2 # in FollowMe setting but the 2nd # never rings
Got it ....
A) Your FPL
B) Wife's FPL
C) Your cell
Your chain A-->B-->C with ring-over values at each ...
What I *think* is happening (and hopefully someone from FPL/Fongo can confirm) is that when A-->B, at that point "B"s Follow-Me settings click in and control is not passed back to "A" again (and hence "C" does not ring).
Coding terms, there is a nested return fail ... this is a GUESS on my part ... I am gonna set up a test with the 2 accounts I have here and see what I can sluice out also. I do know that with OUTSIDE (non FPL) numbers, the "chain" works correctly, at least up to 3 #s worth (have not attempted more than that!)

Re: Have 2 # in FollowMe setting but the 2nd # never rings
Still pending, as I don't have the company cell phone this weekend (another driver is out of town with this one).
Like I say, I think that when you fwd to 2nd FPL #, then IT'S FM-settings take over, and it does not return to the first.
One way, if you have yours-->wifes-->cell is to set wife's to be foward unavailable to the cell ... ???
