Service Down Today?

Post by nocdonkey »

Hi Folks,

Anyone having trouble with the service today?

I finally received my new SPA2102 ATA yesterday, and was able to successfully set it up last night, and make and receive multiple calls.

Today, without changing anything on the ATA, the service is not working. From the SPA2102 interface, I'm sending/receiving SIP packets, and sending RTP packets, but not receiving RTP packets.

I can check voicemail *98 (and it shows I'm receiving RTP packets for that), but any outbound calls simply don't connect (it shows it "connects" in the call status, but I'm not receiving RTP packets).

All ports etc are forwarded, but still no connection. Inbound calls seem to work fine.

Anyone else having trouble today?

thanks!

There have been no service interruptions neither yesterday (when this was posted) nor today.

If you try unplugging the SPA2102 and using our softphone or X-Lite (with your config file settings), do you have any luck?

Have you forwarded the reqired ports to your ATA, configured the ATA to use them and rebooted both your router and the ATA?

Thanks folks for the response - I think this terrible router Trendnet 652-BRP struck again.. I had placed the phone in the DMZ and that worked for awhile, but then stopped working again. Never buy a Trendnet router!

You nailed that one, square on the head. Unfortunately, it is quite a brain-dead P.O.S. Works best as a paperweight. Sorry I cannot offer you any more constructive insight than that! :(
