Using 2 ATAs behind routers? Help needed!

Post by raz »

Configuration:

1. Router_A --> Ata_A (connection b/w sip_Server:5060<->Ata_A:5070)
2. Router_A --> Router_B --> Ata_B (connection b/w sip_Server:5060<->Ata_B:5060)

* Ata_A and Ata_B are Linksys PAP2T-NA units
* Router_A is a TD_Link router (w/ OpenWRT firmware)
* Router_B is a Linksys WRT54G router (w/ Tomato firmware)

Issue:

When Ata_A calls Ata_B, only one party can hear the other :(
(Yes, both use unique unlock keys and phone numbers!)

Any suggestions/ideas/guesses as to what can be tried?

Thanky!

Hmm.. looks like it's an intermittent issue.

First ATA uses port 5070.
Second ATA uses port 5080.

Sometimes they both work fine.
Sometimes only one works.
Sometimes neither can connect to the server.

Puzzling.

Enabled the DSL modem as a bridge device and Router_B to a wireless bridge, thus bringing the total NAT layers to 1 (only on Router_A).

Seems to work.. for now.
