Line 1 and Line 2 Overlapping/Disconnecting

Post by dell11 »

Hi have 2 separate SIP accounts as of yesterday. For months, I used one FPL SIP account on Line 1 without any issues and I am very happy with it. After receiving my second FPL SIP account last night, I have had problems when both lines are active simultaneously.

Line 1 and Line 2 have been configured exactly the same except for the usernames and passwords on a Linksys PAP2 (firmware 3.1.15(LS)). When I make a call on Line 1 to any number it works fine. However, when someone tries to use Line 2, it merges/crosses over to Line 1 and then hangs up/dial tone.

When I try to use Line 1 to call Line 2 or vice versa, I will get a lot of noise.

What is the problem here? As I said earlier, SIP settings worked perfect when there was only Line 1. :(

Appears to be working now. The phone jack wiring must have been the problem. I have checked and modified the wiring and looks like it did the trick.

Glad this is working. If you see registration issues or the like in future tell line two to use different SIP registration ports (I.E. Line 1 = 5060, Line 2 = 6060)
