Call Logs Sorting Order Wrong
Hi there, whenever I go into the Call Logs section on the website it jumbles up the time sorting of the calls. I have calls from last week showing up before calls from today, etc.
Shouldn't it all be by time started? It would be great if this could be fixed.

Re: Call Logs Sorting Order Wrong
They usually sort in chronological order - newest to oldest. Would you mind PMing me your number? I'd like to see what the main system shows.

Re: Call Logs Sorting Order Wrong
One thing that would be good is if the call logs displayed the CNAM. Sometimes I'm not familiar with whose number is showing - the name would be quite helpful.

Re: Call Logs Sorting Order Wrong
If the call when it arrives at the Fongo server carries the caller name then you should see it but this is only likely to happen with incoming voip calls. Normal incoming pstn calls only carry the phone number so the name is not there for Fongo to record. Your traditional phone company does a look up to get the caller name and sends it to your phone if you subscribe to their caller I'd services and that costs money.

Which issue? The call logs sorted in a funky order?CSCO wrote:This happens to me.. and has been happening for a while. Can moderators please look into this issue?
Look closely -- COMPLETED calls are at the top, NON-COMPLETED calls are near the bottom (duration wise) ...
I am not sure why they are not just all chronological, but that seems to be the way it is.
If you are asking about the CNAM issue, that is more of a pay-to-play thing, and I don't think we will see that included at any time in the near future, unless it is as a paid add-on when other add-ons are made available!

Re: Call Logs Sorting Order Wrong
Fongo can you please have all calls listed in time chronological order regardless of 0:00, failed, busy, etc. This is super confusing.

I can make sense of it ..
COMPLETE
FWD'd 0-duration
FAILS ...
Confusing yes, but do-able.
Having it user sortable by "Call completion status _OR_ Chronological" via a sort tab at the top would solve things too ...

Those ain't forwarded calls, they are 0:00 duration calls for whatever reason. On this particular line I use VM on the phone so it didn't go to Fongo's VM either. I can't think of a good reason why it should be at bottom of list. My two other providers list all my completed, fails, cancels and all others by time.TheHardy wrote:

Your statement (I underlined) may very well be the reason why they are segregated. Those calls were not terminated to FPL's trunk!CSCO wrote: ...

Re: Call Logs Sorting Order Wrong
Your statement is incorrect. Calls picked up by my phone's VM are the same as calls answered by human and terminated as such. Every provider I ever used list calls in chronological order whether it is bombed, nuked, cancelled, failed, succeeded.cu2o2o2 wrote:Your statement (I underlined) may very well be the reason why they are segregated. Why is this so difficult to get through and agreed upon? From now on I will leave issues, non-issues, suggestions whatsoever out of this forum as all I get is jabbing from the side. I'm not even the OP reported this issue. I was providing more information to help clarify what is happening.
Confusing but do-able? When you have call log of 250 entries near end of a month, try to spot that call just came in five minutes ago. It is NOT the first one on the top! Why do we have to scroll, search and hunt if call logs were to be showing properly?

I stand corrected...calls that were answered by my answering machine were actually terminated and do not show zero-length calls.CSCO wrote: ...

Re: Call Logs Sorting Order Wrong
If they are not fails, then rings without answer? Not sure, as I cannot see the #'s (for good reason!). I will look at my logs and see if I can make sense of the grouping a little more for you.CSCO wrote: Those ain't forwarded calls, they are 0:00 duration calls for whatever reason. The reason that they are ordered the way they are is "Fongo made them so". It is THEIR platform, and until we make enough suggestions and THEY chose to act on them, we are 'stuck' with how they present the data to us. Other than making a suggestion to them to change it or allow it to be sorted in another manner, we can live with what they provide us, or also chose NOT to use their service at all.
Those are about the only 3 options available, sadly ...
Fongo IS NOT your other providers. Fongo is Fongo. The do take suggestions. They do not move at lightspeed. They do implement SOME suggestions, but on their own time frame and in their own way.
I do not know a more polite or succinct way to state this. Sorry if my trying to explain it angered you.

CONFUSING call log
Per one of my previous posts, I do not know which calls go where, but Fongo does have them segregated based on "status" -- I am looking into this deeper. Fongo does things THEIR way.CSCO wrote: Your statement is incorrect. Calls picked up by my phone's VM are the same as calls answered by human and terminated as such. Is it a good way? Is it the best way? Is it the way we WANT it to be? No ... until they change, either on their own, or thru US making workable suggestions to them, it is what we have to work with.
I can see how sorting thru a long list to figure out the call you are searching for would be frustrating ... trust me I know all about that.
There is no reason to chew anyone's head off, and I do not think it was done to you in the thread here or the forum, but if you feel it was, then feel free to address it either with a MOD, or via PM to the person that wronged you. I have PM'd and emailed you on this for that reason as well.
Try and have a good day and a positive outlook!
