Is anyone else having this problem? It started yesturday, I could not even connect to Fongo, today I am able to connect via WIFI and Data, able to receive calls only using WIFI but not Data. I am using a Nexus Galaxy, registered for the SIP key as well, have setup the account and is able to make calls via both Dell Voice and Internet Calling, but just not able to receive when on Data connection only (WIFI disabled).
Could Fido be blocking?
Thanks.

This is not going to be the answer you want, but PROBABLY. As frustrating as it may be to do, contact Fido and ask them directly. Getting a straight answer may be like pulling elephant teeth from them, but most likely they ARE doing it; afterall, they want your useage money and long distance fees, not for you to use their data and get FREE calls ...dakey999 wrote: Could Fido be blocking?
I have a very negative opinion of selective service availability like this, but it is their game, and you are on their contract (or not if you are PAYG), but you have to play by their rules. If they changed them or did not have them spelled out, then you can make a legitimate argument with them.
Good luck and let us know what you find out!!
(Not a Fido customer, so I cannot do any of the heavy lifting for you on this!)

Are you using the built-in internet calling? If you are, then that could be your problem. 3G doesn't work for receiving I believe, at least, last I tried with my Nexus S on ICS 4.0.4. I could only get it to work on wifi. You may need to use a third party sip program or something. I gave up trying to find a solution. Even XDA didn't have a solution about 3G receiving.

Although I haven't received an incoming call in about a week, I've had no troubles using my Fido Galaxy Nexus for inbound/outbound in the past. Unfortunately I'm in a pit of no cell reception right now, but as soon as I can get some reception I'll try to give a call a try.

There are usually ways around blocking, a lot of phones support alternate proxy/gateway settings, some allow you to tunnel out Via VPN or in the case of android, via SSH. While these set-ups are more complex and more difficult to control for call quality, it's always a possibility, and many here, self included, would be happy to help you with configuration and testing.
If it turns out to be a Fido issue, I'll point out that Petro has $10/mo unlimited data with no blocking, but there data-speed isn't top of the line. Still, I've done Freephonline over 1x connections before with good clarity.

Re: Not able to receive calls when on 3G/4G Fido
I just found a solution for this problem, after I have tested many features and many apps through NAT, here is what I came up with:
If you are using BRIA, go to Accounts | select the Fongo/Freephoneline/DellVoice account | Account Advanced | Select GLOBAL IP MOBILE
If you are using ACROBITS / GROUNDWIRE, go to Settings | SIP Accounts | select the Fongo/Freephoneline/DellVoice account | Advanced Settings | Discover Global IP | EXTERNAL
This is going to solve your problem. I worked for me.
