Can't call local 310-XXXX number?

Post by juser »

I tried using DV to call a local pizza place in Ottawa (area code 613) that has a 310-XXXX number but said it was not a local call. Are all 310 numbers blocked and are there any plans to enable them at some point?

This has been discussed in other threads many times over (just do a simple search for 310 !). I do not think that there is any current move a-foot to support 310 numbers, although it would be handy, as sometimes it is VERY hard to find the real 10D number BEHIND the 310 number ... they are not readily advertised!!

Mandatory 310 support is ONLY for ILEC's, not CLEC's ... (as it is mostly the ILECs that issue the 310 numbers in the first place).

Thanks. I did actually search for "310" but the board have the results:
"No suitable matches were found"

So I posted a new topic.

Strange, even with this post existing, searching for 310 doesn't find anything.

Can't find old 310 threads!

I found this too -- maybe it is a fault of numeric searches NOT working ... maybe a phpBB issue ... ???

310 is too sort or too common for the search to even happen.
"The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: 310
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 4 characters and must not contain more than 84 characters excluding wildcards."

Try "310*" in Search. The "*" is a wild card so you'll also match anything that starts with "310." That's mostly "3102" as in "Linksys SPA 3102", but you'll also find some stuff with "310." While it's not perfect it works most of the time.

Another, better option would be to use Google, but that would require the Admins to open up the forum to search engines. (Hint, hint ;) )
