Hello people.

Sometimes, while placing a call I get the following error message: "This account is already in use (and something after that)".
After a couple of tries, the call goes through.

Please help.

ATA? Is your ISP IP changing during the day (ATA re-registering etc), or does it stay more or less static? It sounds like maybe you need to shorten the duration of the time in which the ATA re-registers with the network. Just guessing at this point, but hopefully that points you in the right direction until someone else with a deeper technical knowledge can chime in.

It would not be as simple as someone else loading a softphone app and using your account login info WHILE your ATA is up and running, would it? Are you sharing the account login info with anyone else that might be doing this accidentally? Or ... ???

Those are the two most obvious things I can think of to start you out ...

By it working later, the "older" registration seems to be getting knocked off, and then things work normally ... hence my suggestions based on what you have described.

Noone else is using the account in the same time (not to my knowledge anyway).
I'll try the other suggestions of yours.

While no one else might be using it, have you set-up a softphone anywhere to log-on to the account (On PC or smartphone)
Things that might send their own registration once in a while and kick your ATA's off?

(EDIT: As we all know, programs get left open by accident all the time)
