If you don't want it anymore, just stop using it.

But if you really want to delete it. Log into your account online and go to the account settings page (the one that says 'Manage your account') and there is a delete link next to where you re-enter your password.

Jake has the answer for dealing with getting rid of it right away. If that fails, you can also call into Customer Service and request that they remove your account as well (that would assume that you cannot log in to your account management screen and do it yourself, such as you forgot your pass).

As Jake also states, if you simply wish to stop using it (seeing as how it is NOT costing you anything), the account will "time out" and delete itself after 3-4 months anyways without any further input from yourself.

Your choice as to how you wish to deal with it.

If you don't mind me asking, WHY "must you cancel it!" ??

Just to add some info from our end on why Fongo may choose to delete an account:
Accounts can be deleted for two reasons.

1) we have tried on multiple occaisions to reach the customer to verify information for 911 reasons, and could not make contact (indicating call back information was incorrect) and thus meaning we needed to delete the account.

2) account was not used in 90 days time. If an account has become inactive, for a span of 90 day's, the account becomes deleted and the number is released back into the number pool. This does not apply if the user has purchased a VoIP Unlock Key or called us to certify their account.

3) you call in to ask us to delete it.

4) we have proven the account is being used to commit fraud or an abuse of the service.

Just a question about account being deleted after 90 days. If I bought the SIP configuration, and let's say I dont use my phone for 90 days (I'm in vacation, for instance), will my account be deleted even if I have a SIP configuration?
