How to adjust Mic volume?

Post by bylo »

When I call people they claim they either can't hear me or my voice is very faint. I have to speak uncomfortably loudly for them to hear me. Same when leaving a voicemail message, I have to speak loudly for the recipient's VM system to detect my voice. This doesn't happen when I call people using my cell carrier or using other VoIP systems like Skype or Google Voice so I presume it's a Fongo issue.

How can I adjust the microphone volume in Dell Voice?

I also cannot be heard when I call. Same when using voicemail in that leaving a greeting or name is almost inaudible when played back. The service is unusable as is for me. Mic works fine for normal voice calls and using a voice recorder app.

Using a stock firmware, still locked to Koodo SIM, Samsung Galaxy Ace, Android 2.3.4 phone via wifi only.

i agree with maxou and sys4t sound is not alway clear, we can hear a lot of static noise, and mic is way too low we should have a GAIN option for mic .

Download and install the new v1.2.8 with "Better support for Samsung microphone gain (loudness)". It's made a huge improvement in how well people can now hear me using DV.

There isn't one. They've just made the hardwired mic gain level comparable to what it is with other VoIP apps.

ok i did the test and compare with sipdroid connect with pbxes and voip.ms and sipdroid is way better voice and sound quality, with dell voice it look like that packet are too big or if i were to a very slow internet, but it is NOT the case, when i test , i did it at the same time and on same internet. with dell voice my voice sound like i am dart-vader !!!

but my apps stay on all night and did not desapear from the running apps. !

Hi everyone!
The problem in microphone exists.
Really working good on PC but not working on my LG-P970g phone.
No one could hear me when I am calling being either on Wi-Fi or on 3G.
Tried to call fongo support 611 (silly suggestion of some conspiracy :D ) - can hear them nicely but they cannot hear me at all.
What is solution? Appreciate any suggestions.
