Serious server problems

During the previous day and into today, there has been some very serious server timeouts and service disruptions. Sometimes I cannot call out, sometimes incoming calls don't work at all, sometimes they go straight to VM. I have been using this service for years with my ATA, and nothing has changed on my end. I should add that I have noticed increased service disruptions in the last few weeks. This includes dropped calls or call glitches. These glitches don't bother me too much (especially for a free service), but not being able to call out, or to completely miss incoming calls is not acceptable.

There is another thread (http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5098) discussing the server timeout and failed registration attempts. My ATA does not provide good logs, but it does show multiple failed registration attempts also. I would have to packet sniff my connection to get more detailed data, and I don't have time for that right now. In any case, other posters in the previously mentioned thread have provided adequate log files to demonstrate the problem. Further, one user is using two VOIP providers simultaneously, one works, FPL does not.

I should note that I am using Rogers Cable for my internet connection in Mississauga. Maybe there is an issue with that, but honestly, it just smells like an overloaded registration server.

FPL/Fongo staff: Please look into this ASAP and at least confirm that there is a problem. Ignoring this issue is not not good PR.
