When you connect to the wifi and go on the internet, does it normally ask you to sign in, or agree to terms before it allows you to see any web pages. When I connect at McD's for example I have to agree to some terms first.

If you do, then you will have to do this before you connect any wifi connects. The play store, internet, and DellVoice would all be blocked until you visit the agreement page.

This is the only thing that comes to mind, other than the fact they might be blocking VOIP and only allowing internet traffic.

Both valid points to check out ... I am not on or in Steel Town, but the login/auth page and also checking to see if they are blocking VOIP/torrents etc are both great suggestions for a place to start!

Hi hong0518,

A very common issue is that when using wifi or internet in general that is considered public or work based, forwarding ports have not been opened by the network administrator.
I would suggest speaking to the one you have and asking if it would be possible to have ports 5060 UDP, 5061 UDP, 13000 UDP and 13001 UDP opened up on the network.

Skype is not sip and vbuzzer does not normally use port 5060 so the fact that they work may not help so the city could be blocking 5060 but there would not be a lot of point in them doing that.
