On keeping my Dell Voice account active
Fongo rep Mike says (http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?p=27578#p27578) that accounts will be deleted if not used in 90 days. If an account has become inactive, for a span of 90 days, the account becomes deleted and the number is released back into the number pool.
What constitutes usage?
1. If someone phones my Dell Voice number and it goes to voicemail, is that considered usage?
2. Is it considered activity when someone calls the number and hangs up before getting to voicemail?
Please list everything that FonGo considers activity or usage.

Re: On keeping my Dell Voice account active
Incoming or outgoing call activity, I believe. Not sure on the voicemail. Simple though, just make sure that you place a call from your account and are not just using it for forwarding!
Note: if you have purchased the CONFIG file, your account is NOT subject to the 90-day-time-out ...

Even logging into your account on our website will show activity and keep your account active.

Mike, can I ask. Does an email get sent out to warn us that the account will be shut, or is it just closed?FONGO_mike wrote:Even logging into your account on our website will show activity and keep your account active.
Also does the same 'closing account' rules apply for FPL as well as DV? Years ago it was that as long as you confirmed your 911 details your account would not be shut on FPL. It that still the case or has it changed to the 90 days thing?
Either way, it would be nice to know what Fongo sees as 'activity' as I have (like many I am sure) an account I don't use that often. I can get the same number back, but would rather not go through the hassle. Would simply logging into the website with that account once a month be enough to keep it in good standing?

Re: On keeping my Dell Voice account active
Jake,
You will both receive a phone call, and also receive an email in regards to your account before it is closed. any time an account becomes flagged for deletion, and email is immediately sent out to the account holder (email used ot sign up for the account)
Activity could be logging into your account on our website, logging into the soft phone (showing us you have connected to the servers)
these rules apply to Dv, FPL, Fongo, Budphone, etc, etc

Ah no, I mean one of my automated scripts to log into my online account once a week so it stays 'active' without me having to remember.FONGO_mike wrote: That was neither scripted, not automated, that written up especially for you! lol
(I probably shouldn't have told you that either....)
