Not quite sure why, but in the last 3 months I have gone through 2 power adapters on my Linksys pap2 device. Problem is I cannot find another one and have been without a phone for 2 days. Ionly had 2 adapters because I had two of the devices.
Anyone know anywhere inthe GTA (I am in Whitby) where I can find one. I asked FPL, and they will only sell me a new ata (1 port), which I am not interested in doing seeing as I have two lines.
Please help1
TIA

I wouldn't have thought it was anything special. Just take it down to The Source and ask them if they have a similar one.
My one here has the spec of a 2A @ 5v output. I'm sure they will sell you something that will work. It will probably cost you as much as a new ATA though

If you are burning through the power adapters that quickly, the issue may be more then just replacing the adapter. I would have to suggest calling their toll free technical support line as they may suggest replacing the device all together.1-800-546-5797

Re: Need a Linksys PAP2 power adapter - no phone service!
Have you checked the voltage output (if there is any) from the adapter? If the voltage falls low the ATA will fail. The "no load meter reading should be quite a bit higher than 5 V (my Linksys adapter gives 5.66 volts and is a switching power supply - the old transformer bricks will be higher) There were problems (some years ago) with some ATAs (can't remember which) where the adapters were the causing this problem because they were not up to the job.
