I recently downloaded the Dell Voice app for my android phone. I was really encouraged by this possibility, considering I'd love to give up my home phone, and also be able to make long distance calls for free.
So I downloaded it, set it up, got my new phone #, etc...
I tried a few calls while on my 3G data - unfortunately the call quality was absolutely horrible. Some calls never even made it through before being disconnected, and the calls that did make it through, I spend the majority of the call saying "what?? what??"
So...giving Dell Voice the benefit of the doubt and the fact that possibly my data connection wasn't too reliable, I then tried a few calls at home on my Wifi connection. Unfortunately the same problem again. Choppy calls quality, cutting in and out, etc...
I'm am extremely disappointed with my first impressions of this app. Not sure why it's so horrible, but it certainly can't just be my connection..
I was really looking forward to this, but am so disappointed. I've already uninstalled it.

It may be your phone ...
Give the PC app a try and see if you get better results that way. I know that does not give you the mobility function, but it may give you the benefits of the service from home.
