Not good for your business model to be telling people that its only "you that is exeriencing it" as in only me! My phone and worldwide has been down from 2:00am. I agree with the other post that an e-mail should have been sent and a thread created!!! Better to have an informed customer then a informed customer wasting their time and yours on phone call.
P.S. Still down in Niagara!!! as of 10:15 Please make a thread so what you posted above dose not confuse you. lol

Hi fongogirl - have you tried calling or emailing support? At this point any connection issues are seemingly unrelated to the issues that happened overnight two evenings ago or early in the AM yesterday.

I had not contacted support because it appeared to be affecting everyone. It still is not working for me. I have a message "No Connection to the Server" upon opening the program. I had gone into settings, then Test Connection and these are the results I get...

Status: Done
Results: Timeout expired!
Data Transfer: Unable to send/receive sound data! Port 13000 should be available
Possible Reasons:
1. No connection to the internet

Furthermore, I cannot close the program down once it's opened, unless I hit control alt delete and manually shut it down (a right click to close it in the system tray does not work).

I can say that my internet is working fine so that is not the issue.. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I do not have the email address for support.

Thank you kindly.

You can try forwarding UDP ports 5060 and 13000 from your router to your computer. What brand/model of router do you connect to for the internet? Do you have access to the router's admin page to configure port forwarding?

Again, as FONGO_steve mentioned, your problem may not be related to the issues on Fongo's end but rather a local configuration of your router.

Hi again fongogirl!

What happened to my good friend named Alt-F4? It is supposed to "kill" your unwanted/current/active window! Are you telling me that it doesn't work? :o

I am not in the least bit tech savvy and haven't a clue about my router let alone accessing it's configuration. All I know is that it worked perfectly fine, then it didn't. Can you please provide some instructions? I am good at following them if you can lay it out for me.

Thanks in advance!

I have had both FPL and DV apps stop responding all together to any keyboard input (and not the JAVA issue...) and been forced to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to kill the app, and yes, that includes Alt-F4 ... no response at all, and sometimes not even the little note (NOT RESPONDING) on the task bar (win7).

Usually, with my FPL app, it is on an incoming call and it fails to respond to anything part way thru the call, forcing a shutdown. Also happens on longer outgoing calls, especially if I have other stuff open.

I have not had, however, the persistant login server issues as a software thing. It COULD be, however.

A complete uninstall and reinstall using the REVO UNINSTALLER may be an option to try ...

Uninstalled using Revo Uninstaller. Downloaded DV again and installed. No Change. Still cannot connect to server. Been picking up my vm through the local number. I only use the DV app, nothing else and it just won't work for me.

Seeking any advice to get this back up and running.

I do have both FPL and DV on my 32-bit Win 7 netbook but only for testing as my household have unlimited NA calling on our cellphones. With the limited testing that I had, my softphones never froze on me. Sorry to hear that even Alt-F4 does not work when it freezes...however my experience is that when Alt-F4 does not work neither does Ctrl-Alt-Del. I learn something new everyday!

When a proggie stops responding, ALT-F4 may not work, as is the case when the FPL app has it's java error and locks up tight ... however, seeing that I can switch windows to something else, even the desktop, I am able to C-A-D the issue, start the taskmanager and then go KILL the FPL app....

Absolutely! As I said, that is one of the things I learned today! :P

Unfortunately, it's a knowledge that I won't be needing as I have better ways to handle situations like those.

It's just that I learned that some people get stumped on things like those...and BTW, if 50 is when reclining years start (although I believe that it is the start of the prime years  )...I am already there!

Okay, let's get back on track...who else can't connect to the login server? :P
