Last week I played around with DV and FPL. I wasn't sure if or how I was going to use them, so after trying different things, I deleted my accounts.
Now that I've thought about it, I've decided I do want a few DV accounts. However, when I went to the Voice Mail in the PC App for my first new account using an e-mail address I used in my previous experiments, I get asked, "What is your account number?" I've looked everywhere, and I have no idea what my account number is. I've tried my phone number, but that's not it.
When I try the same think with a different e-mail address that I did not previously experiment with, everything works fine. I am not asked for an account number.
What's wrong with my other account?

Re: Account Number?
Hi rjgrigaitis,
If you believe there is something wrong with your account, i would suggest calling in and speaking to a live customer representative.
In regards to your account number, it would be the 11 digit phone number you were given when you signed up for the service.

Re: Account Number?
As Mike stated, it _IS_ your phone number (the FPL/DV) one that you were assigned ... however, it needs the leading "1" (counterintuitively, but it does) ... I will bet you a Timmy's coffee that like for every other provider (Telus, Bell, various cell companies) that you were using only the 10D without the leading "1" ... correct?rjgrigaitis wrote: and I have no idea what my account number is. Re: Account Number?
Accessing your voicemail from the Dell Voice line itself should never prompt for a password - I'll double up on what Mike said and suggest a call or email to our support team for some assistance in getting that fixed on your account.

Re: Account Number?
Thanks. I never thought of putting a 1 at the beginning. However, I didn't even have to do that. When I logged in today, everything magically worked. I didn't do anything different, just left it alone for 12 hours.

Re: Account Number?
Glad it resolved itself. I am thinking that somehow your account number info was not being sent to the VM platform when you were trying to log into it. Why that would be the case, I am not sure -- and likely that would be an issue to bring up with customer service should you chose to call in about it. They could look at it.rjgrigaitis wrote:Thanks. There may well have been a glitch in the voicemail platform which affected it temporarily, or perhaps not. There was no mention of a service interruption, although if it was limited and not reported, it may have passed/resolved without any fanfare.

Re: Account Number?
That is odd. If it happens again, let us know. I'm curious as to what caused that.
