Folks,
Incoming AND outgoing calls work fine with FPL softphone. Shut down softphone completely, substituted Grandstream 287.
Incoming calls work fine - audio path, CLID delivery, DTMF, etc. If I try to return the call to the same CLID, I get "not covered in your tarriff plan". I've tried both 10 and 1+ dialing - same result.
However, outgoing calls to *98 work fine.
If I set up the same account on my Groundwire iPhone app, incoming and outgoing calls are all absolutely perfect - same LAN, same router, same account.
So... this is DEFINITELY a Grandstream 287 setup issue. I've followed the posted config guide at Fongo - exactly the same settings I've used in Groundwire.
Any ideas?
Randy

Had your ATA been a PAP2T, I would have guessed that the issue is with your dialplan. However, IIRC there is no dialplan settings that can be modified in the HT287. Have you asked tech support for assistance...if yes, what did they say?

Re: Outgoing call - "not covered in your tarriff plan"
Does the phone you're using on the Grandstream 287 have a "local area code" setting which might be enabled? Some phones have a setting where you can pre-program the local area code and it will automatically remove it from dialled numbers; this would mean that even though you're dialling a 10 digit number, the phone is only sending a 7 digit number to the ATA (which is seen as incomplete from our end). If you don't live in an area where you can do 7-digit dialling then you likely don't have this setting enabled or the phone wouldn't have worked on your previous provider either.
Also, have you tried a different hardware phone all together?
The HT-286 is a very simple ATA without any dial-strings in it - it passes through the numbers it receives straight to our server. So it's likely not receiving something correctly from the phone.

All numbers or specific numbers are having this behavior? If it is specific #'s, can you post us the first 6D of them please, the NPA-NXX part? Just leave off the LINE (last 4) for privacy concerns ....RFehr wrote:Folks,
