Windows 7 64 bit port forwording???

Post by kensurgent »

Hi newbie here :|

I have been looking through the hundreds of posts here and I could not find one single FPL Softphone setup thread for windows 7. I can make calls out but I do not get calls coming in. There is no popup asking to accept call, or sound of the phone ringing. I ran the Test Connection:
Results: Test completed successfully, no problems found.
Sound data transfer: (hangs and does not complete even over 20 minutes).
I need a setup thread for porting. I am NOT using a router, PC to DSL Modem

When I seen the amount of posts with nothing but problems, I am thinking that the system must suck. Why is there NOT even one thread like (FPL Windows 7 Setup and Porting)????? That would solve problems for hundreds of people! The software should take care of the Windows Setup, but I do realize the amount of different routers that are out there and that is a different problem. Why no have a thread just for (FPL router porting).

Thanks,

Ken

no service nor software is perfect. The support here on the forums is far superior to that I have yet to see anywhere. FYI.

If you are straight out from the PC to the DSL modem, and do not have a firewall issue, (which firewall? If any?), then the most basic suggestion would be in the setup of the softphone to change the port number, and just try that...
