Why the web site shows different date? I have been noticing this for few days now.

But once you login the changes to Dec 9Th. Then you logout and it goes back to next day.

When you are logged in, the forums update either every 15 minutes or when you refresh the page. When you're logged out there is no "live update", it is just for searching purposes.

When you are logged in you can correct the time to your time zone (EST). When you are not logged in it defaults to the boards timezone (GMT??)

If you look in your control panel under 'board preferences' you will see the setting to adjust the timezone. It is there so all posts and replies are put in your time, so the post time is relevant to where you are and you can easily work out if the post was made 10 minutes ago, or 5 hours ago. It would be hard on people from all over the world to keep correcting times in their head to work out when something was said.

When you are not logged in, the board has no idea what time zone you are in around the world, so uses the default one, which seems to be 4 hours ahead of EST.

I think the admin should be able to set the default time to EST, but that is his choice.

Done! -- Forum is now EST, though you can still switch to your preferred time zone if you would like.
