FreeConferenceCall

Post by pedor »

My wife was trying to join a conference call hosted by FreeConferenceCall.com, but dialing the number produced an immediate busy signal.

The number she was trying was 12096471000 and in our call logs it shows as "Unallocated (unassigned) number" in California.

She was able to dial the number on her cell phone. Any ideas why she could not call this number under our FPL Home Phone account?

Best guess is that it is an error in the routes/rating (tariff) table at Fongo side of things, and it was popping up as an invalid number. I would suggest PM to Mike or Neil about this, as they seem to be the ones to go to on that, you can also try Steve. I am going to assume that you had appropriate LD credits on the account to make the call.

If you PM them, include the time/date of the call as well as the # and any other info from the log (cut and paste?) so that they can track it down ....

Please let us know what occurs and if they track down the problem!!

Hmm, it would be interesting to call freeconferencecall support and ask about a SIP URI or SIP Broker account as they seem to use both, not as simple as dial and go, but not overly complex either most of the time. SIP URI usually has to be added to your ATA's dial-string, SIP Broker is a system you dial-into based on a local DID (phone number) and then punch in an extension code to reach the number you want (In this case freeconferencecall.com's conference.)
