CALL Delayed on Samsung S3 from Bell
I just got a new Samsung S3 from Bell, and whenever I place an outgoing call from the Dell Voice application it disconnects the call after 31 seconds. Consistently. After that, I am unable to place another call unless I close and re-open the app or log out then back in.
Anyone having a similar experience and able to solve on the Samsung S3?
I've tried closing apps and processes, disabling power saving, etc. Using LTE or forcing 3G only... Nothing makes a difference.

Re: CALL FAILED on Samsung S3 from Bell
Hmmm I haven't heard of this before. Is this consistently after 31 seconds, or sometimes other amounts of time?
Also, do you have an Auto-Kill list? Its possible that if its on the auto-kill, then when the phone blacks out due to the proximity, it kills the app. Not saying that's what's happening, just something to check, at the very least.

Re: CALL FAILED on Samsung S3 from Bell
Fongo may have to trek down to the local Bell shop in KW, see if there's an S-3 about, and give this a whirl ... from the sounds of penseroso's OP, it is pretty consistent at 31 secs in, or at least that is how the wording reads...
I am unsure to ask what other settings it could be...
Penseroso: have you tried UNINSTALLING the app, and re-downloading/installing it? Does that make a difference? Power cycle after the install?? Power cycle after the failed call? Does anything seem to make it behave (or misbehave) any differently???

Re: CALL FAILED on Samsung S3 from Bell
It's consistent at 31 seconds. I've tried rebooting, powering off then on, closing apps, killing processes, all sorts of scenarios. I've also uninstalled and re-installed the app. I've probably made 50 test calls at this point - none have gone beyond 31 seconds.
I don't have any auto-kill software installed, unless there's something on the phone by default that I'm not aware of.
Note that it's TOTALLY FINE on Wifi. Problem occurs on the LTE or 3G connection. If I didn't know better I'd think that bell was intentionally killing the connection after 30 seconds, but this is not the case because it worked fine on my iphone before I upgraded.
One further note - I just tried Skype, and I can make calls fine over that. So it's specific to Dell Voice. Is there another App I can use with Fongo to see if it's the App?

Re: CALL FAILED on Samsung S3 from Bell
Skype and Dellvoice use different ports.
It MAY be Bell blocking it, and being able to better recognize what it is on a device such as the SGIII. I'll take a closer look with Neil next time he's in.
I've been looking for an excuse to get my hands on a Galaxy SIII since it came out. I think I can convince them to get a "test" device

Re: CALL FAILED on Samsung S3 from Bell
Hi,
I just installed Dell Voice a couple of weeks ago and have the exact same problem.
I have a Galaxy SIII on Rogers, DV works perfectly fine on wifi and I've tried all the same tricks but they've been no help.
Any other suggestions?

Re: CALL Delayed on Samsung S3 from Bell
Hello again...I called tech support last week and have not heard anything since.
I would also characterize this as a call failure...nothing is delayed; the call is automatically cut off at 31 seconds.
