Linksys PAP2T settings for blocking caller ID?
Does anybody know the settings to block outgoing caller ID (i.e. my phone number) on the Linksys PAP2T so that it does not display on the called party's phone?

Re: Linksys PAP2T settings for blocking caller ID?
I am wondering the same thing.
Also have a PAP2T.
I have tried disabling/deleting the *67 and *81 under the Regional tab with no luck.
And also changing "Block CID Serv" to "no" under the Line 1 tab, this just causes the "this call is not covered by your tariff plan" recorded message when I dial the *67 or *81
I would really like to know how to block my number from displaying for some calls.

Hmm, *67 works on Freephoneline software phone and my PAP2 here, what are you doing with the ATA? Change the internal settings?

Re: Linksys PAP2T settings for blocking caller ID?
Yes it works on the software phone after you check off the box to say Hide Caller Id in settings.
(shows the 416-642-0882 which is the generic number for caller ID blocked on Rogers and others)
For the ATA it only worked about 4 out of 10 times.
Nothing was changed between calls, they were one after another.
And I even put the ATA connected directly to my cable modem so there were no port forwarding issues.
Could you try using your PAP2 to call a non voip line (preferably a Rogers cell phone) and see if it works 10 times in a row from your PAP2?
The most I had it work was 3 times in a row and then on the 4th and most calls after that it showed my proper number even though *67 was still used.
I just tried again after 5 minutes and my number showed up even though I did *67.
If you could let me know if 10 in a row hides it every time for you when calling a non voip line that would be appreciated.
Thanks
Brent

I can try it yes.
*67 resets as soon as you hang up the phone as well, just an FYI.

Yep, I meant I tried 5 minutes later. I picked up the phone did *67 and the phone number and it still didn't work.
Just meant I tried it at a few different times to see if there was something weird at that time or something.
Pleast let me know how it goes doing 10 or so calls in a row.
Thanks
Brent
