Hi,
My Panasonic cordless phone time is one hour behind when it is set to automatic time adjustment (by Caller ID). I'd like to keep it to automatic so it is updated for Daylight savings time.
Oftentimes, cordless voice mail LED doesn't go off when I have a voicemail left on the phone. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Or, sometimes LED stays on even after listening to the voice mail.
We also have a Missed call LED on the phone, but it seems it is not functioning as well. Is this issue related with the ATA or the VoIP system itself? (because I've googled a lot to solve this).
Thanks!

Re: Cordless clock one hour behind
I had the same issue last April and had a hard time to fix it. I changed the ATA HT286 basic settings to "Time Zone: GMT - 4:00, Atlantic, Quebec" and "Daylight Saving Time" to "NO". I live in Montreal and my Internet Time is GMT - 5:00. The cordless time is OK but I will probably have to reset it manually in October.

You might have to adjust your daylight savings time in the settings of your HT 286.
04,01,7,02,00;10,-1,7,02,00;60 is what it should be. Copy and paste the old settings somewhere safe in case these settings do not work.
Make sure the HT286 is configured to be in the correct time zone also

Re: Cordless clock one hour behind
Daylight time for the Eastern time zone changes the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday in November, which was changed a few years ago to expand the interval we're on DST (and match changes in the US).
So your time zone config string should actually be: 3,2,7,2,0;11,-1,7,2,0;60. But the point is moot, this config string won't work in the ATA-286 even though it conforms to the documentation. I submitted a bug report to Grandstream about this last year and was told there is a bug in the firmware that prevents the time from being set correctly and they aren't updating the firmware anymore since this is a discontinued model.
In the end, I just changed it to a timezone that reflects the proper time and each time we change from EDT->EST or EST-EDT I will have to make the change on the ATA.
