I am using the desktop version and have $5 world credit now. But it doesn't work at all.
(1) I dial a international number (01186xxxx), nothing happens.
(2) if I call a local number (montreal), the local phone rings but has no connection
(3) calling the dellvoice number from a local phone, the machine says "it is not available, please leave a msg".
Could anybody give me some advice? Thanks.

I would suggest calling into supporto n this one. There are different types of credits depending on the service and you may have ordered the wrong one. An agent would be able to make the change over the phone.

Thank you Mike. I called fongo support 1 885 323 6646, but till now I still can't make a call. However I suppose maybe my computer and internet configuration is the problem. coz the "test connection" result shows: ...call service is ok // data transfer:unable to send/receive sound data!port 13000 should be available...
What I have done is:
1) windows firewall --> add port --> tcp 13000 and udp 13000
windows firewall --> advanced --> local connection >setup --> service>add --> tcp 13000 and udp 13000
2) homeportal firewall --> settings --> Add a new user-defined application ... --> --> tcp 13000 and udp 13000
My OS is xp sp2, my internet access is colbnet adsl2+, my model is 2wire 2701HG-G Gateway Software: 5.29.117.3
Could you tell me what's the problem?
BTW, should I open the TCP 5060? How can I test whether those ports are availble?

I can make local calls, but cannot make any international calls. very frustrated.

You don't really give us much to go on, so I will ask the silly questions first. You have got international credit on your account for the right device you are calling with, don't you?
