call display out going

call display out going
Does anyone know how to have our name displayed ? Right now when i call someone it shows up on their phone as "unknown name" I have a Linksys PAP2 and i put my name in the "display name", so i am puzzled.

Number will always show, name will only show on SIP-SIP calls. I think I made a sticky post somewhere here explaining whybluebirdnet wrote:Does anyone know how to have our name displayed ? Recently I observed that my name shows properly on called phone numbers. I changed my name and new name appears.
So I don't get what has changed but it works fine for me.

Are you saying CD only works on calls between subscribers ? Thats not practical?
What if I am paying for business service?, I would certainly want my business name to show up when calling out.

CD was working yesterday but is not working now. Does anyone know the reason?

If you are paying for business service through Fibernetics (freephoneline does not do business), you will be able to negotiate which routing routes your call takes. Remember - freephoneline is a free residential service, any business accounts will risk suspension and/or termination!
