Paid But Did Not Receive Unlock Key
It has been a long and unpleseant road to try to get to order a Voip Unlock Key.
After signing up with Freephoneline, we decided to get the Unlock Key to use with a phone adapter we purchased off of Kijiji.
August 29 : We tried to order the Unlock Key off of the website but there was problem with the website so we had to call in the order 1-866-515-5550.
The call was answered by Yolisa. We told her that we wanted to order the Unlock Key. So she took our information (Visa) and did the following :
Attempt #1 : Yolisa tried to process the credit card for $56.50. It was unsuccessful. We gave her the wrong address of the credit card.
Attempt #2 : with the right address, Yolisa tried to process the credit card again. She said it was declined.
Attempt #3 : Yolisa tried it another time, but this time for $0.01 to see if it will go through and it was successful.
Attempt #4 : Yolisa tried to process an amount for $56.49 and it was unsuccessful.
After the 4th attempt we gave up. We then called our credit card company to see if any transactionwent through in the last 5 minutes and there was 2 transaction for FREEPHONELINE for the amount of $56.50 and $0.01.
We called back and it was answered by Migel. We told him the story and he told us to email him the credit card statement at mrodriguez@(edited).ca. We tried that, but the email did not go through, saying that the email was invalid.
August 30 : we called again and this time we got Francessca. We tried to tell her the story, then she transferred us to Cabil, the supervisor. Cabil explained to us that they got an error when trying to process our credit card. He told us that the credit card will show an amount taken out, but the amount will be credited back in 5 business days. He said something about the bank taking the money aside and if no one claims it (menaing FREEPHONELINE), there should be a credit back into the card for $56.50.
September 20 : we have been waiting for more than 20 days and no credit has shown back. We checked our email and Freephoneline account to see if the Unlock Key settings are there … NOTHING.
NO CREDIT BACK INTO THE CARD OR UNLOCK KEY SETTING.
Image of the statement is included in this post. You can see where the $56.50 was taken out by FREEPHONELINE and then again for the $0.01, both on August 29.
We just want our Unlock Key.
IS FREEPHONELINE A SCAM OF SOME SORT? Can someone at FREEPHONELINE help with this, as it seems the office at 1866-515-5550 cannot help.

Re: Paid But Did Not Receive Unlock Key
well I did same similar problem
I tried to buy online but could not go through and I called in for customer service not successful
I deleted my account and I called in and went through
You may have to delete your freephoneline account and register again
I think if you did couple tries to purchase and did not go through then you will not go through cause freephoneline prevent fraud credit card
I bought it yesterday. Make sure you get your money back before you delete you account
Then delete your account and register again. Make sure you use different credit to purchase this time

Well your journey indeed has not been smooth, but if it is of any comfort to you FPL is not a scam company. They are hard working and usually very good. Some things do go wrong though.
Your best bet for forum support will be to PM this thread to fongo_mike and ask him to pass it to the right people. fongo_steve might also be able to help, but from what I understand he is enjoying a well earned break.
It always gets a bit messy when transactions don't fully go through, but keep on it and I am sure it will get resolved properly in the end. There isn't much the forum community can do for you, obviously, but hopefully a FOngo staff member will try and step in as you don't seem to be having much luck phoning or emailing support.

Re: Paid But Did Not Receive Unlock Key
Hi PDen,
Usually when the payments do not go through, we attempted to process payment on your credit card, but payment was declined. Funds were authorized but not captured and will NOT be captured.
In this particular case, can you please PM me your Dell Voice number and a link to this thread? I can take a quick look and see if i spot anything that is contrary to what our agents may have informed you of.
(Steve is not exactly on break, he is currently working on other projects for the company outside of our main office) (since when do we take breaks? :p )

Re: Paid But Did Not Receive Unlock Key
I have to admit Mike, I was shocked when he kept saying he was away from the office, and then mentioned sandy beaches and islands the other day. (ok he might not have mentioned the sand, but it came to mind)FONGO_mike wrote:(Steve is not exactly on break, he is currently working on other projects for the company outside of our main office) (since when do we take breaks? :p )
As they say, a change is as good as a rest, so Steve will have to count this as his vacation for the next couple of years

With how good Steve is in the office, sadly, i do not think we can count it as his vacation. I can guarantee he is working at least 10 hours a day while at this wonderful location.

To the original poster - I edited out part of the email address you posted of our one staff member. I just wanted to ensure it wasn't picked up by any spam bots, thus giving them never ending amounts of spam because it was posted on the web.
I see Mike is taking care of you though, so I'll leave it in his hands!

Re: Paid But Did Not Receive Unlock Key
PDen,
For security reasons, we can not actually send you the info or the forums.
Try again now. I logged in and couldn't see them either. Logged back in our interface, and by my own mistake, forget to set a rule.
Logged back in and it is now available.
If you log into the website now, you should be able to see them (confirmed it by testing it myself)
