Christmas Request

Post by Spike »

Been reading a lot of the forums here and thought I would make a request.

How about fulfilling some of the requests that some of the members are asking for

like 3 way calling ... 3 way calling is basic on almost every voip provider its been asked hear many times how about making this a Christmas Request, and fulfilling everyone's wish... I'm sure its not that hard to implement such a small request.

regards

Three way calling is already one of our features and has been since the beginning...

What exactly do you mean by 3-Way calling? Right now if you dial a number, you can say hi, press "Flash" or "Hook" on your phone, then dial the other number. Once you connect to the second call press flash again to bring them all together in to one big happy 3-way call!

Do you mean on the software phone?

No problem! I'll get the site updated as soon as I can, but there is a new design that will be uploaded, as well as (I think) a new softphone. So we'll see what that gets done.

Admin,

You posted that message on "Tue Dec 22, 2009" promising to update the feature list on the main page.
Still, to this day, 3-way calling is not listed as a feature.
Can we get this feature officially recognized please?
That way I can be sure that FPL offers this feature rather than just relying on what I read on the Forum.
This feature is important to me and I considered dismissing FreePhoneLine as an home phone replacement option (since Cantalk9000 does offer 3-way calling) because there was no mention of this feature on your website.
Fortunately, I took some time to search the forum but others likely will not take the time to do that.

It is an official feature. With a new website coming in the next few months, I am unsure if they will pay the developers to put it on our current site or just wait for the new one to come.

Looks like it's still not listed as an officially supported feature unfortunately. It'd be nice to have something up there, or at lease some FAQ entries on how to use it with an ATA or softphone.

Regarding the softphone, how do you make a conference call from it? Obviously there's no flash/hold button (at least not on the Mac) but maybe there's some key sequences that'll achieve the same result.

We're currently working on integrating three-way calling and call waiting into the softphone - you should see this in a release in the near future.
