I am using Windows XP Pro 32bit and getting the same error...did you figure out how to fix it?

Run the app with Admin privileges.

I'm sorry I really don't know if it was related at all to something perhaps missing in my Windows 7 OS at the time but since January 2013 of this year I have downgraded to Windows Xp 32bit so at this moment I no longer use the desktop app for Pc instead I use the Android app and it is working just fine.
