Alternative SIP Ports \ Officially Supported SIP Ports?

Hi,

Having issues with late night calls from caller id "101" and from what i've read this far and undersatnd, these are because of script kiddies doing ports scans. I've also learned from reading is that port 5060 is the default SIP port for most VOIP providers use (this port is the port that the script kiddies scan, in turn cause your phone to ring and shoe 101 or other 3 digit caller id).
Does FPL\Fongo support another port or range of ports that i can try instead of using port 5060? I've read that 5060 ~ 5080 and 6060 ~ 6061 can be used but would like a rep to confirm. If there are other ports that FPL\Fongo supports, i'd change my ATA and router to use an alternative port in hopes that it would curb the late night calls (perhaps with some luck, stop them).

Currently i have the below ports forwarded on my router to the ATA. They have been combimed into 3 separate entries (Port Range Forward) instead of 6 separate entries.

5060~5061
6060~6061
13000~13001

You can ultimately set any port you want on your end and the ATA will connect to the appropriate port(s) on our end as needed. Unless you use SIP address calling in the ATA, the best solution is usually to just disallow SIP/direct IP calls.

Could you clarify that? You can use any port as a SIP port, and your system is OK with that? If so, cool. I know you can select any available RTP port, but I did not know you could also do that with SIP ports.

For example, I set the ATA on my desk to use local SIP port 8145 (a random port I chose) and everything worked fine
