conference instead of call waiting

When I press the flash button to answer call waiting all three parties get conferenced instead of one caller being placed on hold, Im using ht701 behind rtn16 router running tomatoe

Are you running firmware 1.0.1.6 on your 701?

If "mcclaud"'s info in his right-side panel is correct, then yes ....

As a non-user of this device, why is that firmware load significant?

sorry for the delay yes that is m firmware its funny there is yet a config posting on that precise firmware thoe its been out for a while. As it turns out it stopped doing it after I changed my dial plan to the default one rather than the one posted on my fono sip page i know it said it was for lynksys. Dont know if this ws the issue or not but it seemed to work after changing the dial plan.

Now my problem is when internet goes down for any reason the ata doesnt seem to notice and does not function without a reboot. what can I do
