Hello,
I got FPL service ~2+ weeks a go.
I have Cisco SPA112 2 Port Phone Adapter
I have recently change the configuration:
rtp from 0.3 to 0.2
the dial configuration line that was provided from fpl.
dont know if i change the default voice codec the one fpl suggested.
Before those changes, i did not have static in the background. After the static appeared.
Also i have noticed, when i call my bank and when i get asked to key in some information. That information does not get pass along.
Static in the background, and doesn't send dial pad numbers.

For your bank issue, you want to look in your setting for DTMF Tones settings. Try a different setting to the one it is now.
Regards to static, there shouldn't be any, have you tried a different phone just in case it is that that is causing the static?

As Jake says, static is a "wire" issue generally -- unless there is a specific destination number that you are having problems with (it may be that number has issues), then the easiest way to trouble shoot if it is your handset is to wiggle the cord while you are on the call --- most common, if you are using a traditional handset, the cord between the base and handset suffers wire-fatigue at the cord ends where they connect.Jake wrote:Regards to static, there shouldn't be any, have you tried a different phone just in case it is that that is causing the static?
If you are using a cordless and have your router set up, there are two things to check -- on your handset, press the CHANNEL button and get a different channel to prevent interference ... you an also go into your router config and change it's channel also to get away from conflicts.
These would be the only means of introducing static ... highly uncommon network-side on VOIP lines!

If you have a newer cordless phone that does nto actually have a channel button, you will need to look in the owners manual for the button presets (number code from dial pad) to punch in in order to change the selected channel.
