[RESOLVED] Wi-fi BlackBerry App now functional

Post by gregsegoe »

UPDATE 2: After some playing around with the app, it is now mysteriously functional.

UPDATE: I just used my friend's SIM Card to test Dell Voice. My friend has a data plan with ROGERS, and we use the same phone. I put his SIM in my phone, downloaded DV again, and restarted, but it is still giving me the same error messages.

It's been a couple of days since the BlackBerry app has been released, and I still am not able to get it working over my Wi-Fi connection. As I am on prepaid, and I have no data plan, I receive error messages.

Image
"Detected Carrier: TELUS (220)
Please select your Carrier"

Image
"Error downloading configuration. Exiting client."

It briefly pops up "a network connection is required to use this feature."

I am connected to a fully functional Wi-Fi hotspot, but I do not have a data plan. If I recall correctly, Dell Voice for iPod touch can use Wi-Fi.

I have tried the suggestions. Please do some testing with no SIM and just wi-fi, and get back to me. Thank you.

Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot that --- and prove that it is not affected by having a data plan or not. The Fongo Staff that help out in the forums are most likely all off til Monday ... so hopefully THEN they can pass this on to the development team for their "fix-ation" ...
