Porting Number and SIP/VOIP key

Hello All,

Im in the process of having my number ported (started the porting process on the weekend), but I have a questions since I will need the VOIP key. Can I purchase the VOIP key now through FPL now, or do I need to wait until my number has been ported? I don't want to purchase it now, and then find out that the key is tied to the phone number, and I will have to pay again after my number is ported to have it work with that number.

Can someone please clarify? Let me know if I can clarify my question further.

The VoIP Unlock Key is tied to the account, so if you were to purchase it prior to porting, you will not need to purchase it again after porting completes The ported number will replace your current/temporary number with us, so any VoIP Unlock Key, long distance credits, etc. will carry over to the ported number since the account itself remains the same.
