Calls go directly to voicemail

Calls are going directly to voicemail when the softphone client is not running, even though the settings in my account are set to 3 rings. Changing it to 5 rings also made no difference. Then to test, I opened the softphone client but did not pick up the incoming call. This time the phone kept ringing indefinitely and never went to voicemail. Is the call supposed to go directly to voicemail when the client is not running?

Yes it will if you don't have any device connected. Where will it ring if you don't have the soft phone logged in?

Ah, good point. I should have thought of that myself. I would have preferred if it would "ring" a few times before going to voicemail, so that a caller cannot tell whether the softphone is up or not. At least I know it's not a bug.
