This week I called and ordered SIP settings for a hardware IP phone; I was told that will take "ten business days" until I'll get the settings :o This already sounds as an ol' good Bell way of serving customers.
Cheers..

Hi,
Is Kola still waiting for the settings? If so I might be in for a long wait.
Just for my curiosity, is it anywhere in this forum a post about why FPL needs so many working days to generate BYOD SIP settings?
Cheers..

cmun, please know that the SIP settings showing up in the account is only for NEW accounts, as of late July 2009. All old accounts were just emailed with those settings and had to be added manually upon request.

If I may answer your question: We take "so many working days to generate BYOD SIP settings" because we are running all payments manually, and though we run them ever single day at 9am, we get 60 payments a day.

We are working on an online management system so you may purchase all of our products and arrange shipping, payment options, as well as manage your DSL accounts (if you have our DSL) including changing passwords, adding email accounts, changing CC info.

This is all in development but I assure you it's come a long way and will come out later 2010.

Thanks Kris,

This thread actually got my curiosity up and I checked into using the Gateway product mentioned above as opposed to the simple IVR program I have used for years for my limited transaction needs. We use Chase Paymentech for our Merchant account and it appears so far that in Canada you'd still have to subscribe to one of their Gateways anyway, removing the advantage of using a low cost program like that mentioned above. So perhaps whatever you came up with may be interesting for small business with few transactions? If so I'll look forward to learning about it.

Did you not get the one that's been three weeks? I could have sworn I put that one on your account, and that you were just waiting for the order from a week ago still (which hadn't been ten days yet)

i was just talking right now to FPL CS and the 2nd agent told me that for the 1st account they sent it yesterday but didn't charge the CC yet so that's why i didn't notice (i was talking to 1st agent and he didn't told me that but the line goes off) for the 2nd account, yes it is still 10 days (6-7 bus. days) but today when i talked to the agents, they told me there is no config. file order for this account !! so they started from zero, btw i bought a 3rd one today, they are for my friends not mine but they either do not speak english (we r in frensh city) or do not have a CC.
