Cant set up voicemail

Cant set up voicemail

Hi I am new here, I have set up an account, but setting up the voicemail seems impossible.

If I go to voicemail in the desktop app, a voice asks for my account number, I enter it, there is a pause, then it says 'that is not a valid account number'

I am entering the full phone number assigned to me, with a '1' at the beginning, making 11 digits.

If I go to the website and to the voicemail tab on the desktop app settings, there is nowhere to edit anything, there is only text that says 'current voicemail password' nothing is there of course because I havent got to set one up and there is nowhere to set one up for me.

If I go to the voicemail tab in the main section of the site, it has the headings with nothing there.

As a side note, I set up two follow me numbers and tested it, it doesnt pass to either number if the app is closed, it just disconnects.

We will move to this system, buy hardware etc if this stuff can be resolved and the quality is good and consistent

Thanks in advance for any help. I did search but all answers led to ppl not putting the 1 in front, none said what to do after 11 digits were used and it still didnt work.

ok, I guess things dont happen immediately, it started working the day after. Its tested and working for me now.

The only thing that doesnt work is the follow me, if im offline. Ill close the app and try it out and it rings twice then i get the unavailable signal. No problems if its online, follows after the 5 rings as set.

Im not too worried, I wanted to check this service out first. If I get the hardware, that wouldnt be an issue as itll be on all the time unlike the pc.

My only question now is if I go to hardware, can I keep the same number?

Yes, you will use the same number. For your $50, you will be provided with the passcode to enter into your ATA box. Stick with a box that is in the 'Device Configuration' section of the forum. The settings have been tested and work.
