Good Afternoon,
I made Grandstream configuration as mentionned in freephoneline document. I hear a normal phone tone when I switched my phone but here is 2 problems I am getting:
- When I call my freephoneline number from another phone I hear: "This account is not valid"
- When I call with my freephoneline phone, after 20 seconds, all call are occupied
Please help, I need to have the phone working really fast
Thank a lot in advance

FAST support is not going to happen over a weekend, as to the best of my knowledge, none of the staff that assist on the forums WORK on weekends. It is too bad that the forum is NOT an official support channel nor that the Fongo staff that operate here are here OFFICIALLY -- you see, the forum is an UNOFFICIAL support channel.
My suggestion to you would be to go back and DOUBLE-CHECK all your settings, as something is not right. It seems to me to be a SYSTEM CONFIG error from the info you have posted.
Try doing this: use the PC softphone to try to place/receive calls ... if you can log into the softphone account with your credentials, then there is a problem with your unlock.

Re: HT 286 - Cannot make a phone call
I would follow Hardy's suggestion of using the PC softphone app to see if you can make a call. If that doesn't work, then the problem may be with your router and you will have to forward some ports.
I assume that you are using the ATA settings described here:

Re: HT 286 - Cannot make a phone call
Hello guys,
Thank you all for your replies.
I did all ATA settings described by the team and the app is working well.
Here is the specific problem:
- When someone called me, my phone rings. When I press the answering button, I cannot hear anything. In addition, the guy who called still hears the sound as if it still ringing.
- When I call someone, after dialing the number, I wait 10 seconds, and the number is always occupied.
I really don't know what to do. I payed 75$ to FreephoneLine and I cannot get any help. Does it really work this thing? Its been more than 2 months I am trying this thing to work. Do not know what to do?
Thank you in advance for help

What do you mean by forward some ports??46jimbo wrote:I would follow Hardy's suggestion of using the PC softphone app to see if you can make a call. If that doesn't work, then the problem may be with your router and you will have to forward some ports.

Re: HT 286 - Cannot make a phone call
It seems strange to me that if the screen app functions, then your ATA box should function too (if you have followed the setup in the link I mentioned). Go over your settings with a fine-toothed comb.
Can you borrow a friend's router and see if it works? I've found that some brands of routers work out of the box and others have problems.
I fiddled with port forwarding based on the info on this site:
http://portforward.com/english/applicat ... efault.htm
However, I ended up with an Asus router that just worked out of box.
