Hello,
I have been using Freephoneline.ca without issue for 2 years now. All of a sudden yesterday I cannot call out or receive calls. When I try to call out, I get a dial tone and I can punch the numbers, but instead of connecting I immediately get the message "this account is not valid". When people try to call in, the call goes straight to voicemail.
I have not changed any settings, added anything to my network, or changed anything on my network, so this is very odd. There is no apparent reason for the problem.
I am using a Linksys PAP2. I have checked all the settings and made sure they are correct. The IP address for the PAP2 is in my router's DMZ, so port forwarding should not be an issue. However, just in case it is, I also forwarded ports 5060 and 5061 (UDP/TDP).
In the PAP2's admin page, the phone line #1 (the one I connect my phone to) is showing as properly registered and "online". From everything I can see in the PAP2 settings, there are no issues, leading me to believe it is an issue on Freephoneline's side (especially given that I have used the service without issue for 2 years and this has come up all of a sudden).
Does anyone have any ideas please? I need to get my phone back on!
Thank you.
UPDATE:
I went ahead and reset everything from scratch following the instructions on this page: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1243.
Works again.
Weird random interruption of service. Oh well. Problem solved.
