Hey guys, I am getting an older model iPhone (3GS) to basically function like an iPod Touch.....It will be for dedicated DV use and won't be activated on a carrier network or have a SIM card. I am wondering how people using ipod touches and similar devices use Dell Voice....Specifically, I currently have my DV number forwarded to my real cell phone number. The 3GS won't have a real number so how do I route all calls to my DV number to it?
Thanks in advance!
iPod Touch?

Re: iPod Touch?
well just download DV to your iPhone 3GS and setting about 6 or 7 rings then set follow me number of your cellphone about 2 or 3 rings
if you could not answer both then the call will go to DV voice mail
if you could not answer both then the call will go to DV voice mail

Re: iPod Touch?
We have 3 iPod touches here and they all have DV on them.
It's not complicated, you just load the app on the device and use it. It sounds like you will just have to remove the call forwarding. It obviously only works when we are connected by wifi, but someone rings the DV number, and it rings the app.
I think either you are over thinking this, or maybe I missed something in your question. The app does it all, just load it and use it.

Re: iPod Touch?
Thanks for the replies...The trick is to keep the same number but the get it to ring on my touch-like 3GS (wifi only).
Seems like all I have to do is remove the call forwarding....Also, for touches and other wifi only devices, I have read the app needs to be atleast running in the background in order for it to recieve inbound calls...Is that true?
