OUTBOUND BUSY SIGNAL

Post by dana_aki »

Hello,

I have an existing Lynksys ATA 2102 for about 2 yrs now with no issues. I have just bought my second Linksys ATA 2102 and I am having issues where all outboud calls go fast busy. I have replicated all the settings exactly from the working ATA. Both are the same ATA 2102 with the same config except the new one keeps going fast busy on outbound calls. All inbound calls are OK. Originally i thought it was the port forwarding issue, but then i realized since my first unit is working without issues and the ports are already opened it cant be a port or router issue otherwise the first ATA would not work as well.....and no, both ATA are not connected at the same time, I unplug the working one when i connect the new one...

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I found the problem and it was because I included a at and sign (&) in the name display. As soon as i removed it the outbound calls went through without any problems. It seems like such characters are not accepted in the name display field however there was no reference of it in any of the docs/forms.
