So, what are you using to send the FAX. You need to used a high quality Codec and if you look in the manual for the WRT54G there should be some settings there that you need to modify. SIP is generally not very good at sending/receiving FAX as the protocols for each are really an unsuitable match. However, it is possible to both send and receive FAX if you have a good connection and the right settings.

can you help me , if i send to you a print page of my voip box ?
My ATA has a T38 codec which I think is for fax. But really you want the best quality one you have and put the fax sending as slow as you can. The best thing to do is try it, it might work just fine. I did find that simple faxes had a better success rate than complicated faxes, IE simple hand or typed faxes would go through where pictures would often fail.
I think Jake is correct. The only real way is do some tests ... send a FAX or two and try to receive some. Codec G711U should be OK if you do not have T38. and, yes, use the slowest Fax rate that you can.
I cannot remember the last time that I sent or received a FAX!
